Playing catch up- March/April edition

We went to Inflatable Fun Factory with Leslie and Olivia. Leslie and I have been friends since we were little girls so it's funny to see our girls playing together. They are our mini me's for sure!

Ella loves to rest and watch youtube kids on her iPad. To be young again!

This is what it looks like at our house when they are waiting on Mammy and Peep to get here.

This showed up on my time hop not to long ago so I had to recreate it. She was seriously the sweetest, happiest baby ever.

She is still super happy but she rules the roost!

Ella's friend, Jossalyn, had her 8th birthday party at CMOE. Ella has made a few good friends in her class, and they are such a nice girls.

Paige loves sitting out on the sidewalk drawing with chalk. She also enjoys taking a walk and picking "fowers" out of our neighbor's yards.

She is such a bossy little thing.

On spring break I took Ella and Autumn shopping, to lunch, and the movies. We had a fun time. The took the right person shopping with them. I could shop till I drop and have a hard time telling them no. :)

I was dying laughing taking this picture. I told Ella she looks like a statue.
Beauty and the Beast was such a good movie! If you haven't seen it you must go see it!

When you don't know how to ride a tricycle you just sit on it and look cute...

She is the leader of the pack! She does pretty good walking down the sidewalk, but she has been known to try to run across the street.

She is such a big girl. I can't believe she will be two in a month!

Ella's school had literacy night this past week. Ella's project this year was to write a book and illustrate it. Ella's story was about basketball, and it was so cute. Ella wouldn't get a picture with her book (or any pictures for that matter) so I had to get a picture of her book by itself.

She did let me get a picture of her later in the evening. I straightened her hair, and it is SO long. She needs a haircut so bad. Her hair is longer than mine right now.

I introduced Paige to markers and a white board. She loves to color, but has not learned that you only color on the board. I have to keep the markers out of reach or she would probably color all over the house.

Sporting her Easter hat

Today she decided to color on the wall with a pencil. I was quickly emptying the dishwasher and wondered what that scratching noise was. It was just Paige creating a master piece. She is lucky she is so cute!

Spring Break 2017

I'm sad to say that spring break is over.  We had such a good spring break. I am not looking forward to getting back into the school schedule, but we are in the home stretch!

We planned a last minute trip to Great Wolf Lodge. We just wanted to go somewhere for a couple of days so Ella and Paige could have some fun, and we could get away for a short time.  I'm not quite ready to take Paige on a week long trip again until I recover from our Disney trip. ;) Ha!

We left on Sunday morning. It took us a few hours to get ready. I'm not sure why it takes us so long to get out of the house, but it always does.  We didn't have to be in any hurry to get there which was nice. We had to stop at a Walmart after getting a text from Walkie Doggie that we forgot our cooler with milk.  Once Adam got back in the car it would not start.  Luckily, someone from the auto center came out and got us up and running again. It was a dead battery, and we haven't had a problem since. Crisis averted!

The car ride was pretty uneventful, and Paige did really well. Sitting still in a car seat for almost four hours is not easy for a toddler, but she did great. We made it late in the afternoon, and Ella and Paige were ready for some fun.

Ella and Paige received wolf ears and their paw passes at check in.

Paige spotted the water park and about went nuts. She was ready to go to the "pool" right then. She said pool over and over again the whole time we were there.

After we unpacked and ate we went down to the waterpark. Paige is pretty cautious around water but enjoyed splashing around.

Ella loves to swim so this was right up her alley.

After a long day we hit the sack. We had separate bedrooms so Paige and I were in one room and Adam and Ella in another. Trips can be stressful for me, because I never know if I will get good sleep or not. Kids are so unpredictable! After our Disney trip I knew it would be best for Paige to just sleep in bed with me, and she did great. I bought some bed bumpers so she didn't fall off the bed. Although Paige didn't take naps she slept really well at night so I was happy with that.

Paige woke up raring to go, and Ella obviously did not. She is not a morning person. Luckily it was completely acceptable to go to breakfast in your pjs and house shoes so that got her moving.

We hit up the waterpark again after breakfast and stayed there until it was time for lunch.

Paige loved to splash!

Ella loved the wave pool and stayed there most of the time.

I'm pretty sure no one enjoyed this trip as much as Paige. She loved it all! Besides for the fact that she can't sit still she is a pretty good little traveler.

We hit up the arcade that afternoon and even Paige played a few games. This game below was her favorite. A ball dropped into a fish bowl, and she screamed every time it did.

Ella won 500 tickets in a machine and ended up with 1,000 tickets. It was a successful trip to the arcade.

As a kid we always got pictures like this on hotel room beds with my parents, and I have carried on the tradition. Thank goodness for tri-pods and self timers!

The following morning we packed up to head home. We stopped at the Newport Aquarium since it was on the way. The aquarium was nice but extremely crowded. Paige and I got split up from Adam and Ella, and we couldn't even find them.

Everything is so new and exciting for Paige. This was her first time to an aquarium, and she loved it. She kept pointing and saying "bathtub".

After we left the aquarium it was time to head home. We had a fun little getaway. Even though I was worried it would be stressful and exhausting, it ended up going really well. It was a fun little getaway, but it felt so good once we got back home. There is something about traveling that makes you appreciate your home... and your bed.

Can't wait for our next adventure!
