Picky eater

Ella is the pickiest eater on the planet! I don't know how this happened, because Adam and I will eat pretty much anything. I especially love food (probably a little to much) and trying new things. It's like pulling teeth to get Ella to eat anything. I am not quite sure how she doesn't wither away, because she eats like a bird. I have started noticing lately that when I give Ella something new to eat she smells it first. I am not quite sure where she picked this up, but if she doesn't like it she won't eat it. Won't even try it! She is such a little booger.

It's official...

Ella DOES NOT like swimming pools! My friend Alison invited us over to swim today. I knew it probably wouldn't go well, but I wanted to give it a shot anyway. As soon as Ella was in her raft she started crying. We were in for about 5 minutes, and I had to get her out. Oh well, hopefully one day Ella will enjoy swimming, and I can look back on this and laugh!

Fun at the zoo!

My brother and I braved the heat today to take Ella and Autumn to the zoo. We actually made a full lap around the zoo until we broke a sweat and decided it was time to go!

First day of summer....

AND WAS IT HOT!!! Brody was out for about 2 minutes(of the 5 minutes total he has spent outside today), and he started panting. I got Ella a little bug that sprays water so she could keep cool outside.

Here she is checking it out...

Starting to run through it...It's looking promising.

Until this started...

I don't think she is a fan of cold water, what do you think!?
Here she is later in the evening after dunking her head in the water. She thought that was hilarious. I don't understand this girl, but I love her anyway:)

Father's Day

Poor Adam, I don't think his father's day was what a father's day should be for a dad that works as hard as he does. First thing Sunday morning we went downtown to get some family pictures taken/Ella's 18 month pictures. If you know Adam you know how happy he was to be taking pictures on Father's day...yeah he wasn't happy about it. It was extremely HOT at 9:30 in the morning! I don't think I have ever sweat that hard in my life. Unfortunately, the photographer's camera broke 30 minutes into it so round 2 will be this weekend. I'll post some pictures once we are finished!

After the pictures we headed to my mom and dad's to eat lunch. It was so nice, because my grandpa was there. I haven't seen him anywhere but a nursing home since this past winter. After lunch Adam headed to the warehouse to unload a 26ft. truck that was FULL of books from top to bottom, front to back. I wasn't there, but he said it was the worst hour and a half of his life. There is no ventilation in that truck so I know he probably almost sweat to death.

The reason Adam is such a good husband and dad is because of the simple fact that he works his butt off to support our family. He works 7 days a week and rarely complains about it. I know he loves Ella more than life and would do anything to make her happy. She thinks her daddy is hilarious especially when he gives her piggy back rides and does "supergirl." I hope Adam knows how much we appreciate how hard he works!

The little misfits in matching outfits (this was not planned).

Trying to cool down
