The wrath of Ella

Penny, Autumn, and my parents stopped by today since they were all in the neighborhood for the yard sale. The girls were playing nicely going through grammy's purse until Autumn pulled out the tape measure. Ella loves the tape measure and decided to take it from Autumn. This is what happened.....

This is Ella's new favorite thing to do. She sits in this basket. We pick her up and carry her around. She thinks it's hilarious, and I think it's back breaking! Whatever makes her happy though!

16 months!

I have been so busy lately that I almost forgot Ella turned 16 months old today. As usual, time is passing by so quickly. Ella is definitely not a baby anymore even though I catch myself calling her that sometimes. She is getting to be such a big girl. Just the other day Adam and I both noticed that her laugh is starting to sound like a big girl laugh and not a baby laugh like it used to. She is such a happy girl. I think she wakes up everyday happy and ready to find out what kind of adventure that day will bring! She loves to be outside. Ella continues to point at everything. She may not be able to say what she wants, but she is really good with non-verbal communication. You usually know what she wants just by pointing. She is starting to get an attitude ( I can't imagine who she got that from). If you are in her way you will definitely know it! She is such a special little girl that we love dearly. I forgot what life was like without her. I wish I could freeze time so I could hold on to these moments, but I can't so I just try to take a picture of every cute thing she does. I love Ella and the cute little person she is becoming!

This past Saturday I was lucky to be a part of Alison and Jeremey's wedding. They couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day for their wedding. It was easy to see how happy they are together and everyone in attendance was so happy that they finally tied the knot!

Water baby

I finally broke out Ella's water table today. It was really warm this afternoon. Ella loves to take a bath so I knew she would love to splash around. She had lots of fun and looked really cute in her bathing suit:)


In other news Ella did the sweetest thing tonight. I was almost shocked. I put her to bed and told her "night night, mommy loves you." Right after I said this she kissed her hand like she was blowing me a kiss. She has never done this before, and I didn't even know she associated these two things. I almost could have cried. She is growing up so fast.

My friend brought her newborn over today, and Ella loved him. She crawled up on the couch while I was holding him and kept kissing his head. I thought she might be jealous, but she didn't mind me holding him at all. She is such a sweet, loving little girl. We are so lucky to have such a special girl!

Neighbor Dog....

That's Elliott and Brody's best bud, Marley. Notice the nice hole he dug under the fence so he can see what is going on in our yard. Elliott will sit out there for hours staring at the fence waiting for Marley to come out. Lately, Ella has really taken a liking to Marley. She grabs Elliott and Brody's toys and tries to hand them to Marley. She also loves to touch his nose.
