Happy Birthday Grammy!

Today is my mom's birthday so I wanted to dedicate a post to her to let her know what a great mom/grammy she is! My mom goes above and beyond everyday to do things for our family, especially my brother and I. She always goes out of her way for us even if it's inconvenient. She has always put us first, even above my dad (sorry dad). My mom is the strongest person I have ever met. I am not talking physically strong. I am talking mentally and emotionally strong. She has always stood up for me not matter what, and I know she always will! When I was sick my mom cleaned, cooked, took care of Ella, made sure I was at every surgery appointment, and did things for me that a mother should never have to do for their 27 year old daughter. I will be forever grateful to her for all of these things. I admire my mom so much. She is a simple, unselfish, strong, funny, has great morals, and is full of wisdom. I strive to be like her everyday. I hope you know how much you are appreciated!

Cabin Fever!

I am so ready for spring. I seriously long for the day that I can take Ella out in shorts and a t-shirt to play. Yesterday I could tell Ella was getting antsy being inside so I decided to take her to the park. She had a blast even though it was a little chilly. Spring is right around the corner, and we can not wait!
A dog was walking by and Ella was saying, "og og!"

Ella and the telephone

Ella has seen and heard me on the phone a time or two so I was not surprised when she picked up our phone and put it up to her ear like she was talking to someone. I think it's really funny how she catches on to these types of things just by watching us. Don't be surprised if next time you call our house and a certain little girl happens to answer;)

Ready for spring!

The weather this weekend made me realize how ready I am for spring. It was so nice to be able to go outside. Ella loved it. She loved it so much she would almost throw a fit when it was time to come inside. I have a feeling I am in for it this spring and summer. I am pretty sure Ella will want to be outside all the time.
Loving this weather!

14 months old

It just dawned on me this evening that Ella is 14 months old today. There has been a lot going on so it doesn't surprise me that I forgot. Each month I know I say this, but I can't believe she is 14 months old already. Where is time going?! Ella has quite the personality. I love watching her discover new things, even if they are things she shouldn't be doing. Ella is still not saying words, but she definitely has a lot to say that doesn't make sense. She loves to dance and if you listen closely you will hear her trying to sing. She has started to get a little bit of an attitude. She will stomp her feet if she doesn't like something, and she has even thrown herself down crying when she doesn't get her way. She loves to be picked up. She will come up to you, stomp her feet, and put her arms up. She also points at EVERYTHING. I think this is so cute. She is the sweetest little girl I have ever met and will always be the light of our lives!

Ella dancing

Ella has just started to really get into music. She has even started to sing to it. It of course doesn't make sense, but I think it's the cutest thing I have ever seen!

Happy Valentines Day

I hope everyone had a nice Valentines Day. Adam and I didn't do anything special for Valentines Day since our anniversary was a week ago (what was I thinking getting married so close to Valentines Day anyway!?). Ella had a good day though. I can't believe it's already her second Valentines Day. I remember last year, and she was still so tiny. Adam just said tonight she is growing up way too fast. I think she is too, but I really enjoy watching her grow.

Breakfast head

I don't know why, but Ella finds it necessary to rub her head and run her fingers through her hair after each bite of food. It is especially disgusting on the days that she has a pancake for breakfast. Here are a few pictures of her with syrup in her hair..yuck!

Ella's room

We finally made the switch. Ella has been in her new room for a few days, and she doesn't even seem to notice a difference. I thought she might be confused at first, but it hasn't messed up her schedule at all.

Lost and Found

I discovered last night when I sat down to watch TV that our remote control was no where to be found. I briefly looked around the living room and kitchen, but it didn't turn up. This morning while I was giving Ella her bottle (I caved) I remembered the remote was lost. I tore the house apart this morning looking for it. Adam looked for it on his lunch break and had no luck. I went through the trash this morning but decided to look one more time this afternoon. There it was, in the trash can, covered in food. I wonder who could have put it in there?

In other Ella news she has discovered a love for chocolate milk. She loves it. She drank almost half a cup of it this afternoon after nap. I am sure she will love chocolate just like her mama!

Pointing...

Ella finally discovered how to point, and she points at EVERYTHING. Every time we walk down the hallway she has to point at all the pictures, even the ones of herself. She also likes to point at the stray cats outside, birds, dogs, and whatever else she can find. It still cracks me up to watch her do this. Now if she could only say what she is pointing at. We are still working on that though:)

The almighty finger....

I am currently working on getting Ella off the bottle. She only takes 2-3 a day, but I think it's time she give it up. So far today she hasn't had one. She is in her crib right now trying to fall asleep. I hear a cry every once in awhile, but it's not as bad as I thought it would be. She is growing up!
