She's growing up

This is Ella's princess potty. I know she is probably not ready for potty training yet, but I wanted her to get used to it.

She is pretty enthused with her potty. All day she has been sitting on it. I took her diaper off a few times thinking a miracle may happen, but she didn't go potty. She is more interested in throwing her toothbrush in the potty part and closing the lid. She also tried to put her blanket in and close the lid. We are going to have to keep an eye on her around the big potty's. She of course likes to close the lid and try to stand on it. Hopefully one day soon she will figure out what it's really for!

Ella has really changed in the past month or so. She looks like a little girl. She is starting to understand everything we say. She does things we ask her to do. The other day I handed her a coke out of the refrigerator and told her to take it to daddy. She walked down the hallway to the computer room and handed Adam the coke. She is also entertaining herself for longer periods of time, which is wonderful for me:) She has grown out of playing with baby toys. She likes things like puzzles, blocks, shape sorters, and books. Ella's hair is getting longer. I have had it in a pony tail the past couple of days.

Ella has lost most of her baby fat. Just today I noticed how much taller and thinner she is. It makes me miss my chubby cheek little baby:( Ella is also trying to talk more. She tried to say pig and pee pee today. I have a feeling Ella is just going to start jabbering one day soon and never stop!

I do miss Ella being a baby sometimes, but every stage brings something new and fun. I get stressed out A LOT, because let's face it, it's not easy raising a child. I have to quickly remind myself that this isn't going to last forever. Sometimes I wish I could freeze time, but unfortunately I can't. I love watching this little girl grow up and hopefully she has the time of her life doing it!

CMOE!

The last time I took Ella to CMOE (Children's Muesem of Evansville) she was not even a year old yet. She had fun, but she couldn't really appreciate it. I decided to take her again today, and it was totally different the second time around. She had the best time! She had a great time playing and watching other kids. Times like these make me realize that Ella is growing up and growing up fast!

Notice she weighs a whopping 26 pounds!

In the "quack factory"
She was in awe...
Climbing and sliding
Climbing around in the giant dinosaur nose. She loved this!

7 years ago today....

Adam and I met. I still remember it like yesterday. My friend Leslie invited him to come out with us. She showed me pictures of him before he came over, but I had no idea she was trying to set us up. She said he was the type of guy you would marry, and here we are 7 years later. Here is a little trip down memory lane:)

Our first picture together. We were so young and carefree!

Tunnel of fun

I have been looking for some new indoor things to do since the heat and humidity are unbearable. Ella doesn't seem to mind it, but I do! I found this pop up tunnel today so I grabbed it hoping she would like it. It took her a couple of minutes, but she figured it out. Hopefully it will keep her attention for a little longer than 10 minutes like most things!

Why does she look so much older in this picture? :(

Here she comes!!
Loving it!

19 months old

Ella is 19 months old today. She is only 5 short months away from being 2 years old. The time is flying!! Time flies when you are having fun right? :)

At 19 months Ella is wearing size 18 month clothing and size 5 shoe. She is wearing a size 4 diaper. Ella has learned to take her diaper off, and she thinks it's hilarious to run around the house naked. Ella has 12 teeth.

Ella loves to climb! She tries to climb on EVERYTHING!! She is on the move from the moment she wakes up from the moment she goes to bed. It's amazing how peaceful things are once she goes to bed. Ella goes to bed around 7:30 or 8:00 and sleeps 12 hours. She usually takes a 2-3 hour nap.

Ella can say "dog" "bug" "belly butt(on)" "dada" "mama"(when she feels like it) "putt putt" "baby" First steps is coming next week to evaluate Ella. I still think she is developing just fine and is just a little behind kids her age. We will see what they think though.

Ella is the pickiest eater!! It's so frustrating, but she is still gaining weight so I guess she'll survive!

Ella can point to her hair, ears, tongue, mouth, belly button, head, and elbows.

Ella is a happy, loving, playful 19 month old. We are so grateful to have her in our lives!!
