Saturday Randoms

I just wanted to jot a few things down about the past couple of days so I wouldn't forget in the coming years.

That is my Mt. Dew from this morning. I am a caffeine junkie! Ella saw it and immediately said, "Mammy." My mom ALWAYS has a fountain drink, and Ella must have realized this. Every time I get a drink from the gas station Ella says, "mammy" or "mammy's." My mom has been drinking fountain drinks since I can remember. It used to drive me crazy when I was younger, because no matter where we went she had to stop and get a fountain drink first. These days I understand why. Sometimes my fountain mt. dew's are what gets me through my day:)

That's Ella on the "putt putt" with my dad. She decided SHE wanted to drive yesterday. She did a pretty good job of driving round and round in circles. She will be mowing their yard by age five! She has been riding on this thing since she was a baby, and she loves it!

Last night my parents came over to watch Ella while we went out to eat. My dad brought his fishing pole. He caught two fish. They said Ella could have stayed out their all day. She loved it and even wanted to kiss the fish. I wish I would have been here with my camera to take pictures. She had the best time. I need to get her her own little fishing pole. I had my own fishing pole when I was younger. I still remember fishing with my grandpa at their camp when I was younger. I have a feeling Ella is going to be the exact same way!

This is a picture of the girl's I took yesterday. Aren't they getting so big!? It kind of makes me sad:( They are growing up faster than I thought they would!

Ella went for her first ride in daddy's truck today. They drove home with the windows down, and country music on. She was in hog heaven! He said she was bobbing her head to the music. She is always up for an adventure!

Easter weekend

We had such a fun Easter this year. This was the first year Ella could hunt eggs and actually understand what to do. It was so cute to watch her.

Saturday morning Adam's mom and step-dad (Ma and Papaw) came over along with Aunt Cey Cey. They brought her lots of easter treats. Ella was in heaven with all the candy in her baskets. I eventually had to hide it all, because she has a major sweet tooth;)

Sunday morning the easter bunny came to our house. Ella woke up around 8am and immediately went to find her easter basket.

Once she went through her basket we went out to hunt eggs. Even though it was a little rainy I was bound and determined to hide eggs outside. That has been my plan, and I wasn't going to let a little rain spoil our fun.

She caught on so fast!

After hunting eggs in the backyard Ella wanted to do it again so I hid them in the front yard.

We headed over to my mom and dad's for lunch and another easter egg hunt. Luckily, the rain was able to hold off so we were able to do this outside. It's so fun to watch Ella and Autumn together, but it's especially fun on holidays.

After we found all the eggs we went out back to play while we were waiting to eat. Since we have gotten quite a bit of rain in the past few days there were a few puddles to play in.

Nothing like splashing in puddles in a dress:)

We had such a fun Easter this year. I love that Ella is at an age where she can finally understand what is going on at holidays. It's so fun reliving my favorite childhood memories through her. Happy Easter!

Rain Rain Go Away...

I feel like it's been raining forever. Pretty soon I think we are all just going to float away. Hopefully it will let up for Easter , but right now it's not looking very promising.

Today, instead of sitting inside complaining about the rain, we decided to go out and enjoy it! Ella had the best time playing in the rain. She loves water and didn't mind getting a little damp. I was even able to get her to splash in a few puddles.

Ella's smile when I tell her to smile now. It's better than nothing;)

Ties and tutus

A few weeks ago I had Ella's picture taken for the Ties and Tutu's special at Rowe Portrait Studio. They take awesome pictures, and I would take her there all the time if I could afford it. I just wanted to share my favorite picture.
