Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween! We had such a fun Halloween this year. My family came over so the girls could trick or treat together. Ella and Autumn, or I should say Dorothy and Holly Hobbie,  had such a fun time with each other! Ella had the hang of trick or treating today so she was raring to go!

The only picture I could get of them together!

Ella was ready to trick or treat!

Our family. Ella looks so much older than last year.

I seriously can't believe tomorrow is November 1st. It will be Christmas before we know it:)

Trick or Treating at Lincoln State Park

Every year Adam's family camps at Lincoln State Park for Halloween. We met up with them this year so Ella could go trick or treating. I loved taking her there, because it reminded me of going trick or treating at the KOA campground when I was a kid. Yes people, I used to camp. I have been MANY times, and I love it;) On the way home Adam and I both said we wanted to go camping when Ella gets a little older.  Ella had a great time and did pretty good for her first trick or treating experience. She had to pull out every piece of candy that was in her basket and inspect it. She ate her fair share of candy tonight too. That might have been why she was so wound up before bed. We are ready for round 2 tomorrow!!

My little trick or treater, Dorothy. Isn't she adorable!?

Trying to figure out what is going on!

She finally got the hang of it!

She obviously didn't want her picture taken!

Beautiful!

Kindermusik Halloween

Tonight was Halloween at Kindermusik. All the kids were dressed up, and it was adorable! All the parents had cameras, and I think all we did the entire class was take pictures. It was a great time, but by the end of the class Ella and I were exhausted!

Essie, the poodle

Every week Ella goes in, picks up the basket of bells, and bring them over to me. Every week I have to tell her she needs to take them back so everyone can play with them =)

She was just absolutely adorable in this costume!

Ella having a grand ol' time throwing leaves!

This is Ella's favorite part of the class! She loves to play with balls.

 Addison, the witch.

Ella helping clean up.

If I would've known about the group pictures I would have at least fixed my hair!

So exhausted! Ready to go!

Only a few more days....

...Until Halloween! Ella is so excited to go trick or treating with Cousin Autumn!

These were taken today. Ella is obviously feeling a lot better. We went out to feed Cloudy this afternoon.

Hi Cloudy!

Cloudy was so happy to see Ella. Today when she saw Ella she started Hee-Hawing like you would not believe! I need to get it on video. It is so cute. Not only does Cloudy come running over, but the horse does too. That probably has to do with the fact that I am not afraid to feed her now. She gets her fair share of food too:)

Stay tuned for pictures from Kindermusik Halloween tomorrow!!

I woke up this morning to storm sirens. Luckily, Ella slept straight through them. She has been exhausted. She woke up just in time for the storm though. I was freaking out. I hate storms. Ella on the other hand, loves them. She tried to escape and go outside. I think the wind would have blown her away!

Loving the storm!

Getting ready to escape...

Elliott hates storms!

In other news Ella was feeling a little bit better today. She even took a 3 and a half hour nap. I don't think I will be as lucky tonight though. She has already been up coughing once. This has been horrible. I will be so glad when things get back to normal around here:(

What a difference a day makes!

24 hours and 4 doses of antibiotics later Ella is feeling a little bit better. This morning was a little rough, but once she took a nap she seemed to be feeling better. She has been coughing quite a bit, and that is waking her up tonight. We will all be happy when life gets back to normal, and we can get a good full nights sleep. Have I ever mentioned how much I LOVE SLEEP!?

My sick baby:(

We stayed home pretty much all day today, except a quick trip out to feed Cloudy. I will be happy to get out again. I haven't dried my hair or put on makeup since Friday. I also have some nice dark circles under my eyes. I looked in the mirror today and could not believe how horrid I looked!

Ella looking at her Halloween book. We are looking forward to Halloween! Notice her shirt. It says "Daddy is under my spell." I have a feeling daddy will be under her spell forever!

Keep your fingers crossed for an even better day tomorrow!

Our circus

I just have to jot a few things down so I will remember this. When Ella is sick this whole house is pretty much in shambles. Our household usually runs pretty smoothly, but when Ella is sick it falls apart.

Examples:

#1. The dogs have crapped on the floor 3 times since last night. It could be more then that. Brody tends to eat poop so I am not sure if my total is correct. One of the poops was runny so I had to quickly run the carpet cleaner today.

#2. When Ella does not feel good the dogs are not allowed to come near her. She throws a fit if they do. I have been playing referee with Ella, Elliott and Brody.

#3. WHATEVER Ella wants I better be running to get it as soon as she wants it.

#4. We have taken numerous car rides today just to appease Ella. Something about the car makes her feel better. Luckily my gas tank was full. It could possibly be empty by now.

#5. Ella hates taking medicine. We pretty much have to hold her down just to get it down her. I thought kids were supposed to like the pink medicine?

#6. I forgot what sleep was, and what it was like to eat a normal meal.

That's all I can think of right now. I haven't been this tired in a long time. I do want to say thanks to Adam for being such a good house keeper while Ella has been sick. It makes me feel a little bit better to be miserable in a clean house:) Thanks Adam for stepping it up when I need you to the most!

Hopefully Ella will be back to normal soon!

First ear infection

Poor little Ella woke up Friday from her nap with a fever and threw up all over the floor. Needless to say we were up almost all night Friday. Saturday she seemed better until she woke up from her nap with another fever. It got so bad I wanted to take her to the emergency room. Adam called the doctor's office, and they said they wouldn't take her to the ER for a fever. Once her fever broke she was feeling much better. Today she had a horrible morning. I called the doctor, and we took her in to the after hours clinic. Come to find out she has her first ear infection:( I think the doctor was surprised that she has never had one or taken any antibiotics. She HATES the medicine, but she has to take it for 10 days. We will have to figure something out. Please keep your fingers crossed that she gets better soon. There is nothing worse than having a sick baby!

Fall Day in New Harmony

Since today was such a beautiful day I decided to take Ella to New Harmony. We were there on Sunday, but I was determined to take her back for some pictures. She would not smile on Sunday, and I was bound and determined to get just one smile out of her in this lovely little town. The leaves are absolutely beautiful there right now. You should really go see for yourself!

The only time I can really get her to smile is in a swing!
