Highlights of 2011

2011 has been a great year! I can honestly say it's probably been one of the best years of my life. Let's take a look back...

January:

We got a new mattress! Seems kind of silly unless you know how badly we needed this. 

  

We played in the snow quite a few times!

We celebrated Adam's 31st birthday! 

February:

Adam and I went to Nashville for two days to celebrate 5 years of marriage! We both enjoyed the two days of peace and quiet:) 

 Ella's 4th Valentines Day!

March:

The end of Febrary/beginning of March brought about a 100 hour work week for Adam. It was awful all the way around. Adam was EXHAUSTED and almost sick afterwards. 

We took our first trip to the zoo with daddy. 

Ella got a swing set (one of the benefits of the 100 hour work week)!! 

April:

We celebrated my 29th birthday!!

Adam, Ella, and I went to the Nashville zoo for the day. Ella got car sick on the way;)

We had a TON of rain, which caused some major flooding around the area. Ella just looked cute in her rain gear. 

Ella's fourth Easter. It was of course raining!

May:

We celebrated mother's day! 

Our playground days began...

Mommy, Daddy, and Ella made out first of three Holiday World Trips. We met up with Erin, Bree, and Mallory!! 

It was officially warm enough to swim! At the beginning of summer Ella was not fond of the water, but by the end of summer she loved it!

June:

We celebrated Autumn's 2nd birthday!

Ella went on her first "boat" ride at Poppy and Nana's. 

She also rode a horse for the first time!

Ella turned 2 and a half!!

I ran my first 5K!!

July:

We got new carpet!!

We went on our second trip to Holiday World!

We rode four wheelers at Maw and Papaw's house! 

We swam at burdette! 

We reconnected with old friends!!

August:

I ran my second 5K with Sarah!!

We made our third and final trip to Holiday World!

We had fun at a wedding!

We had many pool parties at Aaron and Sarah's house. This is when Ella really started loving the water!

September:


We kissed summer goodbye...

Ella fell in love with riding her tricycle around the neighborhood!

I ran a 10K with Sarah and started training for a half marathon. 

We made our first trip to the ER. 

We had a great vacation to FL with my parents!! 

October:


We had fun at the Fall Festival, even though it was HOT! 

Our annual pumpkin patch trip! It was a complete disaster!

We traveled to St. Louis with Aaron and Sarah for the Rock n' Roll half marathon!!

That's me about to cross the finish line. This was one of the best experiences of my life!! 

We had a cute ladybug on Halloween!

November:

Get Dirty 5K with Aaron and Sarah!!

We put up our Christmas tree the day before Thanksgiving!

Ella went to her first circus. 

We rode the Polar Express in French Lick. 

We played in our first snowfall. 

December: 

 I met up with Adam in New York since he was there for training. It was an unforgettable trip! I think about New York on a daily basis now:)

I ♥ New York!! 

We had a Christmas Dinner with the Ice's at The Haub House. 

Ella was out of diapers and potty trained!! 

Ella turned 3! 

We celebrated Christmas!!

It was truly a great year filled with lots of fun. Of course, it wasn't always easy. We have had our fair share of fits, meltdowns, and tears. 

Ella grew up so much this year. She went from barely talking to talking in full sentences. She went from diapers to using the potty. She is becoming such a big girl! 

Adam and I were able to take some much needed trips by ourselves. It's funny how much more you appreciate your alone time after you have a child. 

 I achieved my long time goal of running a half marathon! 

Here are some things I'd like to do in 2012: 

Spend less money at Target;) I ♥ Target.

Run another half marathon... or maybe 3

Have more patience...

Organize our house and stay organized!

Care less about cleaning and organizing and spend more time playing with Ella...

Keep good communication with Adam and be a loving wife ♥
