Fun with Cey Cey

Ella and I spent the morning/afternoon at Aunt Cey Cey's house. Lacey has a park within walking distance of her house so that is where we headed as soon as we got to her house. Besides having a complete meltdown when another little boy was crying, Ella had a great time. It was a huge park with a lot of playground equipment. Ella bounced from one thing to the next. Her favorite thing was of course the swing. She is almost too big for the baby swing, but that is still her favorite!!

After the playground we went to eat lunch at a Mexican restaurant. Whenever Lacey and I eat together we usually end up at a Mexican restaurant, because that is our favorite.  Ella got pretty antsy during lunch, because it took awhile. By the time I got my food I had to scarf it down, because Ella was about to have a complete meltdown. We survived though!
We headed back to Lacey's for a little bit. Once Ella had a popsicle she was tired and ready to go. She took a three hour nap when we got home so I'd say it was a successful trip.

Happy Birthday!!

Today is my friend, Alison's, 30th birthday. We have been friends since we were 17 so it's really weird that she is 30 today, and I will be in a few weeks. Where has the time gone!? We have shared so many great memories in our twenties. I can't even begin to name them all. A few of my favorite memories are riding together to USI every single day and sitting next to her in all of our classes. We were smart enough to coordinate our schedules. It made school a lot more fun that way. We spent many carefree weekends together living up our college days.  We went to Disney World, Ft. Walton Beach, and Vegas together. I am so happy we went to Las Vegas for our 25th birthdays. We both got married and were in each other's weddings. I would say our twenties were pretty awesome! I hope we can make many more memories together in our thirties!! Happy Birthday Alison!!

Happy Monday

Another weekend came and went.  We had a fun weekend. Saturday we went to Poppy and Nana's house to see their baby goats and eat dinner. I think I was more excited than anyone to see them. They were so so sweet. I loved watching them play together. They are so cute. I could have brought one home with me, but I don't think that would fly in our neighborhood. We also went on a four wheeler ride with Ella, fed the fish, and ate dinner. We had a nice time visiting.

Sunday morning Sarah and I met bright and early for a 9 mile run. It's that time again. I didn't think I would find myself training for a half marathon, but here I am doing it again.  I must be crazy! These long runs wear me out. I think I use a full days worth of energy on the run. I keep telling myself we only have four more weeks of this!! I'm definitely going to take some time off until I possibly do another one this fall.

There was no time to rest when I got home. I had to hurry and get ready so we could go eat lunch at Logan's for Lacey's birthday.  Adam was nice enough to have Ella ready so I didn't have to. If it wasn't for Adam there is no way I could run or train for a half marathon. He always gets up with Ella and takes care of things for me while I'm gone. I really appreciate his support.

Me and the birthday girl!!

Today Ella and I went to the Y, visited with my parents, came home for a nap that didn't happen, went to the playground, ate dinner, and played outside before bed. I don't think I stopped moving all day! It was our typical Monday routine, and I loved it!

Outdoor fun

We have been spending a lot of time outside recently since it is so nice out. Ella (and the boys) could live outside. We are constantly in and out all day.  It's so nice to be outside enjoying the fresh air!!

New Friends

I met another mom, Sarah, through my friend Sarah. I have met Sarah before at a run, and I saw her again at Run of Luck. We figured out that we both go work out at the Y so we met there today to run, and then she invited Ella and I over to her house. Sarah has four children so I thought this was a great opportunity for Ella to get acquainted with some kiddos she doesn't know.

It took Ella a little bit, but she warmed up pretty quickly to them. By the time we left she had made herself right at home. She even went potty at their house which is huge for her, because she is usually not fond of going potty at unfamiliar places. Unfortunately, our new friends will probably be moving out of town pretty soon, but we will have fun with them while we can!!

St. Patty's weekend

It was a beautiful weekend, and we spent a lot of time outside enjoying the weather. Friday we met Erin, Bree, and Mallory at the zoo. It's been awhile since we had last seen them so it was good to catch up. We were afraid it might rain, but the weather ended up being perfect. We ended our visit with lunch outside and a trip in the gift shop. It was a great time. We can't wait for a Holiday World trip this summer!

Saturday morning I participated in the Run of Luck 7K. It ended up being much warmer than I anticipated. I got used to running in colder weather, and now it's going to be hard to adjust to the warm weather. It also didn't help that I had a thermal tank top on underneath my t-shirt. We enjoyed a couple beers at the beer garden after the run. It was fun!

Today I got caught up on laundry and went to the store. We grilled out for the first time and ate outside. I hope this weather is here to stay, because I love it!
