Memorial Day

We had a really busy weekend working on our house. Good thing is our to do list is almost finished. I can't believe how much we have accomplished in two short weeks. This past weekend we got our bathroom flooring replaced, light fixtures hung in the bathroom, laundry room destruction (thanks Brody) fixed, new mulch down, and the shed painted. You wouldn't think painting a shed would be a big job, but it is. It took three people. My mom watched Ella, and my dad and I painted. Once we got started it didn't take long. I am glad it's finished.  Now we just have to sell our house! I am not cut out for this process. We are trying to sell it ourselves first before listing with a realtor. I am trying to be hopeful and have faith that we can, but it's hard. It doesn't help that I have found a house I LOVE. It's being built right now, and it's almost complete. We need to sell our house first before we buy another. I am not a fan of uncertainty. I hope in a few months I can look back on this, and it will all be over.

We did manage to have a little fun this weekend. Ella has been dying to get her slip and slide out, and she finally did on Monday. The water was a little cold, but it didn't stop her.

She was kind enough to model one of her new swimsuits for me. I'm loving the retro look.

Daddy pulled her down the slide. I'd be scared too!

Holiday World #3

Ella and I hit the road on Wednesday afternoon for a visit to Holiday World. The best part of having season passes is being able to go anytime you want no matter if you go for the day or half the day. It was a little cloudy, but it turned out to be a beautiful day. We spent most of our time at the water park. Ella used to be terrified of the water slides but not anymore. She loves them. She also has a new found love for the lazy river. She could float for hours. It was another fun, exhausting day. I am sure we will have many more this coming summer.

Last day of preschool

Ella's last day of preschool was definitely bittersweet for me. I was so happy that we made it through the school year with minimal meltdowns. I can count on one hand the number of times she cried when I dropped her off, and she rarely missed a day. I couldn't help but think of next year at this time though. She will no longer be a preschooler at the Y. She will be preparing for kindergarten. I can't even think about it without tearing up. She is growing up so fast!

Her class had a picnic on their last day. It was supposed to be outside but with the threat of rain they moved it inside to the gym. It was so fun. All the families had snack on a blanket. I think that was Ella's favorite part. It was a great school year, but I think Ella was ready for a break. We are going to have a great summer before Pre-K starts in the fall.

I think Jude was probably one of Ella's favorite classmates.

Ella with her teachers, Mrs. B. and Mrs. Kremer. I am so thankful for both of them. They are both so good with her. I couldn't have asked for better teachers!

Holiday World-Mother's Day

We went to Holiday World for mother's day, as I mentioned in my previous post. It was a perfect day for Holiday World. It wasn't too hot or crowded. Any day you can go to Holiday World and not stand around and sweat to death is a good day. It was also great, because we didn't have to wait in long lines. In fact, we walked on almost every ride. It was just a great day all around!

Everyone had fun on the little roller coaster, even the adults.

Poor Ella was so scared, but she wanted to ride too.

I'm pretty sure this is what my mom looks like every time my dad gets behind the wheel;)

I was so proud of Adam. The last time he rode a roller coaster was in Disney World. I'm pretty sure he almost had a panic attack on it. He rode two out of the three roller coasters that day and didn't have a problem. He has come so far in the past 10 years. :)

After he rode with my dad he rode with me. That's me in the black with my arm up. The first drop about took my breath away, but it was so fun.
