Our sweet Paigey Leigh turned five years old! I can't believe she is five. I found out I was pregnant with her when Ella was five, and Paige turning five seemed like a lifetime away. I remember thinking that if I could just make it to when she's five years old I will be ok, and here we are!
Paige is so FULL of life. She is constantly talking, singing, moving. She loves life and lives it to the fullest. She has brought lots of life to our once quiet house. She loves adventure and travel. She has proved to be a great traveler either in the car or airplane. She started pre-k this year and adjusted very quickly. She loved school and her friends and was typically raring to go to school. She is a great sleeper, eater, and pretty well behaved. Paige is just a joy to be around, although some days she makes me want to pull my hair out. ;)
Since we are still dealing with COVID-19 we didn't have our usual family party. I planned this little surprise for Paige to make her birthday special, and she loved it. It was put in our yard on Friday night and Paige woke up to it on Saturday morning.
Paige wanted a princess themed party. Her decorations were kept to the bare minimum this year, but she loved her cake and balloons.
This cake tasted as good as it looked. It wouldn't be a birthday without a cake from Gaylacake.

My parents gave Paige a fishing rod so she had to go try it out. The fishing rod was a complete surprise and her face when she opened it was priceless.
Paige had a great fifth birthday even though it wasn't a "normal" birthday. We made the best of it and still made it special for her.
