Happy Easter, 2017

Easter has come and gone, but the Easter candy is showing no signs of leaving anytime soon. We currently have four chocolate bunnies calling my name loud and clear from the cabinet. Hopefully Ella will eat them before me.

Our Easter was a little bit different this year. Since it was supposed to rain on Easter Sunday we had our Easter celebration with my parents on Saturday evening. We couldn't have asked for more perfect weather for an easter egg hunt and grilling out.

Before we left Ella agreed to a couple of pictures. She is getting so big.

They both are getting so big!

It was so funny how fast Paige caught on to hunting for eggs. She loved it!

Ella is an old pro at hunting eggs.

The big girls got a nice surprise in one egg.

Paige had to open every egg to see what was in it. She loved the candy.

Paige loves bubbles and had a bubble machine in her basket.

The next morning Ella had us up bright and early. She had asked me the day before how to set her alarm for 5am. I told her the easter bunny does not get up that early in the morning to deliver her easter basket. She made it until 6:30 and woke us up. Ella never willingly gets up that early unless it's Christmas, Easter, or we are going on vacation.

Ella was so excited that "he" left her a Hatchimal.

I have to admit these things are really fun. I love to watch them hatch.

The boys went out before Ella and Paige hunted for eggs. I wondered why Elliott was laying out in the grass for a long time. He had opened an egg and was chewing on a big wad of bubble gum. He was so proud of himself!

Ella could not wait until Paige woke up to hunt for eggs so we let her go ahead. I was not about to wake up her sister. :)

It was a very happy easter for Ella this year!

Paige finally got up and found her basket. She got puzzles, a wooden school bus, toddler markers and sidewalk chalk. I am going to have to watch her like a hawk with those markers.

Paige took her sweet time finding eggs. She had to inspect each egg and find out what was inside. It's so fun experiencing this stuff all over again with a little one. Everything is new a fun for her.

Shortly after I took this picture Paige had chocolate drool running down her mouth right onto this cute shirt.

Later that afternoon Adam's mom and step dad came over to eat, hide eggs, and bring the girls their easter baskets. It was unfortunately pouring rain so we had to hide eggs in the house.

These two didn't seem to mind!

We ended up having a great Easter with lots of food, fun, and good times spent with family.

Playing catch up- March/April edition

We went to Inflatable Fun Factory with Leslie and Olivia. Leslie and I have been friends since we were little girls so it's funny to see our girls playing together. They are our mini me's for sure!

Ella loves to rest and watch youtube kids on her iPad. To be young again!

This is what it looks like at our house when they are waiting on Mammy and Peep to get here.

This showed up on my time hop not to long ago so I had to recreate it. She was seriously the sweetest, happiest baby ever.

She is still super happy but she rules the roost!

Ella's friend, Jossalyn, had her 8th birthday party at CMOE. Ella has made a few good friends in her class, and they are such a nice girls.

Paige loves sitting out on the sidewalk drawing with chalk. She also enjoys taking a walk and picking "fowers" out of our neighbor's yards.

She is such a bossy little thing.

On spring break I took Ella and Autumn shopping, to lunch, and the movies. We had a fun time. The took the right person shopping with them. I could shop till I drop and have a hard time telling them no. :)

I was dying laughing taking this picture. I told Ella she looks like a statue.
Beauty and the Beast was such a good movie! If you haven't seen it you must go see it!

When you don't know how to ride a tricycle you just sit on it and look cute...

She is the leader of the pack! She does pretty good walking down the sidewalk, but she has been known to try to run across the street.

She is such a big girl. I can't believe she will be two in a month!

Ella's school had literacy night this past week. Ella's project this year was to write a book and illustrate it. Ella's story was about basketball, and it was so cute. Ella wouldn't get a picture with her book (or any pictures for that matter) so I had to get a picture of her book by itself.

She did let me get a picture of her later in the evening. I straightened her hair, and it is SO long. She needs a haircut so bad. Her hair is longer than mine right now.

I introduced Paige to markers and a white board. She loves to color, but has not learned that you only color on the board. I have to keep the markers out of reach or she would probably color all over the house.

Sporting her Easter hat

Today she decided to color on the wall with a pencil. I was quickly emptying the dishwasher and wondered what that scratching noise was. It was just Paige creating a master piece. She is lucky she is so cute!
