Holiday World trip #2

This is going to be a quick post with LOTS of pictures. I don't know why I end up taking so many pictures at Holiday World, but it happens every time. It never fails. Ella on rides is too cute!

Today we met up with our friends Leslie and Olivia. Ella is quite fond of Olivia and talks about her a lot. It makes me sad they don't live just a few streets over anymore. They both had a great time together today. It was the perfect day to go to Holiday World. It was definitely the best time I have had there since it wasn't hot, and it wasn't crowded. The girls got to ride continuously if they wanted to. It was a great day.

Olivia loved the water! Ella wanted nothing to do with it. She just enjoyed running around on the playground in her swimsuit!

When did they get big enough to wait in line by themselves and get on rides by themselves?!

Weekend recap

I haven't posted in two weeks. I am not sure what is wrong with me. It could be the fact that I have spent every spare minute reading, "50 Shades of Grey." I'm now on book three. It's a little too racey for my taste, but it's so addicting! I can definitely see what all the hype is about.

Back to our weekend. Saturday morning I ran with Sarah for the first time since our half. She told me about another half marathon on Memorial Day so this was my test to see if I could do it or not.  I have still been running, but I have cut way back. The sun, heat, humidity, and blisters about killed me. It just wasn't worth it to me to finish the 11 miles  so I ran straight back to the car after about 8. Needless to say I won't be doing another half marathon next weekend.  I think I will stick with my air conditioned running at the Y from here on out!

Saturday afternoon Ella decided not to take a nap so we got out the sprinkler and water table. I can't believe it's already that time of year again.

Today Adam was out doing some work at the "book warehouse." Ella and I went out there to take Adam lunch. The people that now live at Adam's grandma's house have chickens, ducks, and a ton of farm equipment. I originally thought Ella would enjoy the chickens and ducks, but she was more interested in the combine and tractors!

She wanted to get in the combine so bad. She wanted to ask "the man" if she could get in. She of course would not do it when it came down to it.

She also found a nice little dirt pile that kept her busy for awhile.

Tomorrow we are heading to Holiday World to meet up with my friend, Leslie and her daughter, Olivia. We are excited and hoping it doesn't rain!! Stay tuned!

Opening Day

Yesterday was opening day at Holiday World. I decided on a whim yesterday morning to take Ella since she LOVES Holiday World! I only planned on being there a few hours, but we ended up staying until 4:00. I'm pretty sure I sweat off about 5 pounds, but it was well worth it since Ella had so much fun. I can't wait for many more Holiday World visits this coming summer!

Ella was tall enough to ride the scrambler and the little roller coaster this year. She thought the roller coaster was scary!

She loves Holidog. It's a huge step for her to actually go stand next time him, because she is usually scared. She even gave him a hug before we left!

Smile for the camera!!

Ella has never been one to pose for the camera. A couple of weeks ago I asked her to smile for me, and she actually did. I am not sure what happened, but I am not complaining. I am happy to get some normal smiles out of her instead of her typical "daddy face." :)
