Dentist, Leader Day, and CMOE

I totally forgot to add a big event in Ella's life in my last post. She went to her first dentist appointment on Valentine's day. It was interesting to say the least. It went better than I expected, but she freaked out when the actual dentist came in. I can't lie. I did too. That's a story for another day though;) He said her teeth look good. She didn't have any cavities, but her teeth are very crowded. He said he is positive she will need braces down the road. I am hoping he is wrong. I didn't want her to have to go through what I did with my teeth. I would say it was a pretty successful first dentist appointment. Afterwards, we went to sweet cece's for a little treat.

Ella has told me a number of times the toothpaste they used was gross! She was not a happy camper in this picture, but she made it through.

This past Thursday was Ella's leader day at preschool. Ella loves leader day. Ella is very quiet and typically just likes to observe when she is in a group of kids. It surprises me that on leader day Ella loves to be in front of her class using the pointer and leading them in line. It is a special day for her, and she looks forward to it. She especially loves to have someone with her on leader day. I love to go. The kids in her class are so cute, and the things that come out of their mouth are hysterical. I could almost be a preschool teacher.

Ella loves using that pointer. Everyday during circle time they discuss the day and month of the year. They say their monthly bible verse, and they also say the previous ones they have learned. I also discovered they are learning to count to ten in Spanish, and they are learning their colors in Spanish.

They have a song they sing and dance to when they recite the months of the year.

This is a new promethium board that the Y got this year to go in the preschool room. It's really nice for the kids to be able to see what the teacher is doing on a big screen. That is Ella's teacher, Mrs. B's, daughter. She came to school with her that day. She read to the kids and led this activity.

Ella took her hulk mask and baby and blanket to show and tell. Her teachers got the biggest kick out of this hulk mask. I thought it was funny too. The kids loved it. I think almost every one of them raised their hand and said they wanted one.

This is Ella leading her class down to the gym for gymnastics. That little boy she is holding hands with is Eli. He talks A LOT.

It was the perfect day for Ella to be leader, because she takes gymnastics at the Y. All the kids enjoyed it so much. Mrs. B said they may try to do this once a month.

That is Ella and Jude. Ella talks about Jude a lot. I think it's because he likes Avengers.

It was a fun day at preschool. I am glad I got to go!

After preschool we met Terry and Autumn at CMOE. It was a great day for it, because I think we were just about the only people there. The girls had fun playing at the new exhibit. They are both getting so big. I remember their first trip to CMOE together. They were so little. They are both growing up way too fast!

This past week

We started out the week with gymnastics. It was the last class of the six week session. I went ahead and signed Ella up for the next session since she seems to enjoy it so much.

Tuesday Ella had preschool, and we went to the zoo. It was a little chilly, but it was nice to get out. We had not been to the zoo since last fall. It made me really excited for warmer weather.

Thursday was Valentine's Day. I am not a fan of Valentine's Day, but I still wanted it to be fun for Ella. She had a party at preschool that morning. Ella looked super cute in her Valentine's attire.

She got a little Valentine's surprise when she got home.

We did a Valentine's project. I had good intentions to make a lot of these, but Ella was done after two.

Friday we met the Morrison girls at CMOE.

What a fun week we had!

Catching up

I have been slacking lately, or maybe I have just been busy? We have been spending A LOT of time inside so that definitely cuts down on my picture taking. We are definitely ready for warmer weather. Ella talks about Holiday World almost every single day. She can not wait until we can go again this summer.

Ella has been doing really well in preschool. She still enjoys going and seems to enjoy spending time with her friends. She really loves her teachers. I love them too. They are both wonderful and exactly what she needed. This past Thursday Timmy the Tooth came to visit, and a dental hygienist who talked about the importance of brushing your teeth. It was so cute and all the kids loved it. Ever since Timmy the Tooth came I have had no problems getting Ella to brush her teeth. This couldn't have been better timing either, because Ella has her first dental appointment this Thursday.

She is also still enjoying gymnastics. Her six week session will be ending pretty soon, but we will be signing her up for another session. She looks forward to it each week.

We  recently made a trip to CMOE. Ella really enjoyed it. We went to CMOE, lunch, and Target. That is a great day in Ella's book.

We also went to CMOE with some friends last week, and we will be meeting the Morrison girls there this week. We love our membership:)

Adam and I went to Nashville for our anniversary. It was a nice little break. We love staying at the Opryland hotel. It's so quiet and relaxing.

Sweet Brody turned 6 yesterday. Some people may not believe it, but he really is the sweetest dog there is. He just has a big attitude sometimes:)

Other then that our life has been pretty uneventful which is just how I like it!

Happy 7 years!

Today is our 7 year wedding anniversary. We are not doing anything special. Ella has the stuffiest nose and hasn't had a good nights sleep in two days. I don't even have anything good to make for dinner, because I don't want to drag her out to the store.   This is our life after 7 years! :)

I think it has been a great seven years, and it's only gotten better with time. It's definitely not always easy, especially when you throw a child in the mix. I know we both get on each others nerves at times. There have been many nights where we have went to bed mad at each other, but we always seem to work things out.

Adam is a great husband to me, and I appreciate him more than he knows. He is very trustworthy and respectful. He is a very quiet person, but he can make me laugh harder than anyone I know.  He encourages me and supports me. All these things are reminders of why I married him in the first place.

I am glad I can say it's been a great seven years, and I definitely look forward to many, many more happy years with him!
