Pregnancy Update

I just realized I haven't done a pregnancy update since February. Time is flying and before I know it she will be here.

I must really like Navy and stripes. I didn't realize until I saw these pictures how much navy I wear.  I don't feel like I look like I have grown that much in the past month.  Thankfully, I'm not as hungry as I used to be so that has helped with the weight gain. I keep trying to tell myself this is my last pregnancy so just enjoy it, but it's still hard gaining weight no matter what.

I was sleeping horribly. I bought myself a "snoogle" in hopes that would help. It has been a lifesaver. It is shaped like a "C". I can lay my head on it, and put it between my legs. I also put a pillow under my belly for extra support, and these two things have worked wonders. It has also helped with my snoring for some reason. I never snore or make a sound in my sleep unless I'm pregnant.  It will be so nice to sleep normally again, someday. :)

We have Paige's room all ready to go. She can come whenever she wants (except when Adam is out of town next week).  I need to share pictures sometime soon. It's totally different than Ella's room, but I love it.

Besides minor aches and pains I think my pregnancy has went really well. I have had no choice to just continue on with my normal life so I think that has helped. I definitely have less time to think about it since I have to keep up with Ella and her schedule. We are down to four weeks and counting. Stay tuned....

Easter, 2015

Did you know that Easter is almost as exciting as Christmas!? According to Ella, it's one of her favorite holidays. She has been excited for weeks.  She loves waking up to an Easter basket and hunting for eggs. It is so fun to see her excitement.

Our Easter celebration started a week ago at Maw and Papaw's house. Ella got an Easter basket there and hunted for eggs.  She wasn't expecting this so it made it even that much more exciting for her.

One of her most favorite things to do there is to swing on the tree swing.

She found lots of eggs filled with a mixture of candy and money.  She LOVES to open eggs to see what's inside.

On Good Friday Ella was supposed to be out of school, but it was a snow make up day. All the kindergarten classes had a Passover Seder. Their show and tell was to come dressed as a bible character. Ella was not happy about it. She did not want to participate, because she didn't want to "look stupid". Where do they come up with this stuff?   I just sent her stuff in a bag  in hopes that she would decide on her own that she would wear it. I received an email later that day with pictures attached saying that after recess Ella decided she would put on her costume.  She later told me she didn't not enjoy the "passover party", because it wasn't her kind of party. Go figure!

Ella and I dyed eggs the day before Easter. We do this every year.  I made up the dye while she was outside and decided to go to the bathroom before I took the stuff out. While I was in there she must have grabbed the blue dye off the counter and spilled it all over herself and the floor. She dripped all the way into her room where she changed clothes. She threw her dirty clothes on her floor which splattered dye everywhere. She came in the bathroom with no shirt on and her hands were dripping dye everywhere. I seriously almost had a heart attack. Note to self: never leave dye unattended.

I (the Easter bunny) usually waits until Easter morning to hide eggs and Ella's basket. I had a feeling that Ella would be so excited this year she would get up super early so Adam hid eggs after Ella went to bed. I also hid her basket in our house. She did not disappoint Sunday morning. She busted in our room at 6:30am announcing that the Easter bunny left her an empty basket. This was not true. I left out a different basket for her Easter egg hunt. She was busting at the seams so Adam and I quickly got ready so Ella could find her basket and eggs.

The Easter bunny didn't leave candy in her eggs this year. She just received money and change. Ella is not a candy eater so we had to go another route, and this was the easiest.

We went to Easter service before we went to my mom and dad's for lunch. Ella could not sit still the entire service, because she was so excited. I didn't think she was going to make it through without having a meltdown. Fun times!

The girls had so much fun opening baskets and hunting for eggs.

Elliott's hood made a great hiding spot.

These girls are so lucky to have each other. They love spending time together, but they especially love spending holidays together. They have a very special bond.

Elliott loved being out on the deck feeling the wind in his hair. He loves the outdoors!

Adam and my dad rigged up this swing for the girls. I am pretty sure it was the highlight of their day as you can tell from the smiles on their faces.

I had to get a picture with the awesomest husband ever before the day was over!

Easter 2015 did not disappoint. We had a great time spent with family. Hope you had a great Easter too!

Baby Sprinkle

A few weeks ago two of my dear friends, Sarah and Alison, threw me a baby sprinkle.

I'm pretty sure they both said I had to have a baby shower the day I found out I was pregnant. Since they both mentioned it, they were nice enough to come together and do this for me.

I typically do not enjoy being the center of attention. I didn't think I would ever have another shower, but here I am six years later pregnant again. We got rid of most of our baby stuff in the past six years so we are basically starting all over again.

Ella was so excited about the shower and gladly took center stage for me. I never thought six years ago at her baby shower that I would be having another shower where she would be opening all the gifts.

I was joined by my family and closest friends on March 21st to celebrate our little bundle of joy.  Alison had the shower at her house.

They did everything in turquoise and purple which are the same colors as her nursery.  The food was so good. I wish I would have gotten a picture. We had chicken salad sandwiches, veggies and dip, fruit and dip, chips, and a cheese ball made by Sarah's mom. I'm pretty sure I snacked on that thing for two-three days after the shower. It was so good. The sweets were just as good. Alison ordered the cake from Sweet Betty's Bakery. Alison has a thing for cakes. I think she has picked out my cake for every big event. She takes it very seriously. Although she wasn't very happy with the cake, I thought it turned out great.

Sarah and Alison were the best shower hostesses. I am so lucky to have them both for so many different reasons. They are definitely my forever friends!

I received so many nice gifts for Paige. Ella was not expecting it, but she received a lot of gifts too. I had the two best helpers opening gifts. I didn't have to do anything except sit and watch.

I am so thankful to my two friends for throwing me such a nice sprinkle. It meant a lot to me that they would take time out of their busy lives and do this. If either of you read this I hope you know how much you both mean to me.  You have both been so supportive and so excited for me. I appreciate you both more than you will ever know!

I am also so thankful for family who have been so excited from the get go. This was SHOCKING news, and everyone has been nothing but excited for us.

The countdown to Paige is on!
