Today was the first day of the Vanderburgh County 4-H Fair. I was going to wait until Thursday so Adam could go to, but I decided Ella and I would go ahead and go while he is out of town. Sorry Adam!
Ella and I got there around 4:15 when the rides opened. I got her a wrist band so she could ride as many times as she wanted. We definitely got our money's worth. While she was on her first ride I figured out I forgot my camera card. I seriously almost started crying, because it's not been the best day. This is definitely not the first time I have done something like this. I need to carry an extra camera card and battery in my purse at all times. I was crazy enough to go all the way back home to get the card and come back. We live only about five minutes away so it wasn't a huge deal. Thankfully Ella went along with this. I refuse to miss out on any picture opportunities, especially since this was Ella's first fair.
Ella got her face painted for the first time. I didn't think she would want to, but she was all about it. It was worth every cent, because she thought she was hot stuff with her face painted!
She was obviously pretty happy with the end result!
Ella with her free balloon. It was just about the only free thing they had!
Picking a duck...
Cutest kid ever!
Ella had to ride the #5 "spinny thing." She told the lady it was her favorite number!
She loved looking in the mirror at herself on the carousel!
Ella and I had a fun first trip to the fair, even though it was HOT! The only thing that could have made it better was daddy being there. I think we are going to go back on Thursday so he can go too. Just a little side note. Adam and I met 9 years ago today. He actually skipped out on the Vanderburgh Co. Fair with a friend so he could go out with my friend Leslie and me. I'm glad he skipped the fair, because who knows if our paths would have crossed again. What a fun 9 years it's been!!
