Ella and Paige | Week 14

It was time to get back to routine with the start of school. It's always good to get back in our routine, even though it's bittersweet seeing Ella go back to school. Ella was a little grumpy the first day of school but had a great week. I even heard from her teacher after lunch duty that she was talking in class and raising her hand to answer questions. I'm hoping it's going to be a great year for her.

Ella and Paige | Week 13

Last week, Adam was in Redmond, Washington for a Microsoft conference from Sunday until Saturday night. He planned on going while I was pregnant, and I have been dreading it for months. While I was pregnant I kept wondering how I was going to care for two kids on my own (that is just funny now).

It is not easy when Adam is gone. He is usually super busy, and we don't get to talk as much as I would like. I don't exactly care for him traveling, but I know it will probably be a part of our life for years to come.  He enjoys training and teaching, and I'm definitely not going to stop him from doing what he loves.  It's true what they say though, absence does make the heart grown fonder. It's good to miss someone sometimes and appreciate them more when they come home. The only good part of him being gone is when he comes home. :)

I would not have survived without my mom. She ended up staying with us Thursday and Friday night which was the best sleep I had all week. She also kept Ella entertained since Ella thinks my mom is six years old just like she is. She definitely helped me get through the end of the week. Thanks mom! What would I do without you!?

Elliott was my sleeping buddy for a couple of nights until he started waking me up to go potty during the night. I don't need two babies waking me up so back to the laundry room he went.

I braved shoe carnival with Ella and Paige so Ella could get new school shoes. That place was packed, but Ella had shoes picked out in less than ten minutes!

We met Ella's friends at Pump It Up to play for a couple of hours on Wednesday. She has the best time with them, and I enjoy talking to their mom.

It started storming when we left so we stayed in our pj's the rest of the day!

Ella had a dentist appointment on Thursday. She has an adult tooth coming in behind a baby tooth that has not come out yet. She may have to have it pulled in a few weeks if it doesn't come out on it's own. Eek!

Later that night Ella and I went to back to school night.

Friday finally rolled around, and I stalked twitter all day hoping to see a picture of Adam teaching his session. I was so excited to see that one of the attendees posted one. This was Adam's first time teaching a session at a conference, and he was SO nervous. He ended up doing great and was asked to come back next year.

We had a new shower door and fixtures put on which was the highlight of my week. Such an improvement from what was originally there.

Saturday night finally rolled around, and Ella and I picked up Adam from the airport. It was nice to have our family back together again:)

Paige || 3 months

Paige turned three months old on Tuesday. Seriously time, please slow down! These past three months have come and gone in a blink of an eye, and  I fall more in love with this sweet face everyday. She is such a joy!

I had major (I'm talking MAJOR) anxiety while I was pregnant. I had no idea what it would be like having another child, and I thought she may turn our world upside down. Instead, she has been the greatest little addition to our family. It's hard juggling two kids most days, but it's completely worth it.

Paige is changing and growing so quickly. Here are a few things I want to remember about Paige at 3 months old:

Weight: I am guessing she is close to 12 pounds by now.

Height: Close to 22 inches.

Hair: Paige's hair is growing longer and and thicker by the day.

Eyes: Definitely green just like her daddy's eyes.

Clothes: Paige has outgrown most of her 0-3 month clothes and moving into 3 month clothing. Just tonight I put her in a 3 month sleeper, and it fit. She is growing like a weed!

Diapers: Size 1

Sleeping: Paige goes to bed at 6:00 on the nose every night. She is usually up to eat around 1am and 5am, and then sleeps until around 8am. I seriously long for the day I can sleep all night again. It's pretty exhausting being woken up night after night. Thankfully, she eats and goes right back to sleep. She has slept through the night a few times but definitely nothing consistent.

Eating: Paige still eats four ounces at each feeding. She usually eats every 2-3 hours. At night, she will sleep around 6-7 hours between feedings which is nice.

Likes: Being swaddled, being sang to, baths, mornings, being held,  white noise, and her HANDS.

Dislikes: Paige doesn't like being hungry or tired otherwise, she is pretty content.

Milestones: Grabbing for toys, holding her head up fairly well, cooing, smiling (all the time), focusing on you and she will follow you with her eyes as you walk across a room.  She has found her hands and loves to suck on them often.

I can't believe how much she has changed the past few months!

First day of First grade

Ella is a first grader this year and obviously thrilled about it. :) I think it was just too early for pictures, because she ended up doing great at school when I dropped her off.

Look at how much she has grown from Kindergarten to First grade!!

I can't believe I have a first grader.  She seems to have a great teacher this year, and all of her same friends are in her class. I'm hoping for a great school year for her!!

Ella and Paige | Week 12

Last week was a rough week. Ella was not right after having the virus she had the previous week.  On Saturday I decided she should go to after hours to have her ears checked even though I wasn't convinced she had an ear infection. I can usually tell, but Ella is so tough you just ever know. Low and behold she had a double ear infection. Ella is extra emotional when she isn't feeling good so it was a little rough for a couple of days until her meds kicked in. Adam left for Seattle this past Sunday so that didn't help matters. It was a LONG week without him, but I'll have more on that in my week 13 post.

Paige is quite the mover when she sleeps. She started out in a totally different spot facing the opposite direction.

Adam and I took Ella to Holiday World for one last trip before school starts. It was so HOT.

Ella and Adam did the big slide together.

This is my friend's son, Easton. He loves Paige and looks at pictures of her every night.

Happy in one picture and sick in the other!

Starting to grab for things!
