10 years

I can't believe it has been 10 years since the day Adam and I met. I am pretty sure it was 10 years ago today, but I am not positive. I still remember that day like it was yesterday, and I know I always will.

Adam came into my life at just the right time. He was just what I was looking for in a mate. Adam has always been trustworthy and respectful. If I could pick two things I love about him the most, those two things would be it. He is so quiet but makes me laugh harder than anyone else I know. We have had our ups and downs at times, but overall I would say it's been a great 10 years.

We have learned a lot about each other through the years. I definitely think our love has gotten stronger, and our marriage has gotten better. I am thankful everyday for Adam and of course Ella. I hope the next 10 years are just as great as the last!

Baby Easton

In my last post I mentioned Easton and realized I never posted any pictures of him. He is already five weeks old so I can't believe I am just now getting around to this. Some day I will figure out how to stay on top of things.

Easton is my good friend, Alison's, baby. He is such a special little guy, because Alison had to go through a lot before she even became pregnant with him. I know Alison and Jeremey waited a long time for this so I am incredibly happy for both of them.

This picture was taken the first day I was able to see Easton and hold him. Poor little guy was in the NICU for five days, but he is of course doing great now.

Not only was I excited about Easton, but Ella was too. She is not so fond of him when he cries though. She typically covers her ears and hides somewhere. She is slowly learning that babies aren't always happy. We did get her to feed him a bottle one day. I am not sure how my baby is old enough to feed another baby, but she is.

 I think he likes her...

I could just eat him up!

I have been able to babysit a few times while Alison runs an errand or two.  It works out great for me, because I can get my baby fix:) Babies are so cute, but I forgot how much work they really are. I forgot how tired you are after being up all night. It just goes to show how fast time goes and how fast these memories fade.  It is definitely all worth it, and I would do it all again in a heartbeat (probably). Ha!

I am so happy that Alison is finally a mommy. I hoped and prayed it would happen, and I definitely think he was worth the wait!

Weekend Fun

Friday, Ella and I swam with Alison. Alison and I used to lay out all the time back in the day. I have tried a few times to take Ella with me to swim with Alison, but for one reason or the other it has never went well. This past Friday Ella loved it. Success! We were in the pool for about three hours. I can't wait until next summer when Easton can join us. Until then he will have to hang out inside with his Mimi. :)

Ella tried about five times to take a picture of Alison and I. Picture her floating around in a huge raft trying to take a picture with my camera. Alison and I both were laughing at her. She was trying so hard.  She is actually getting pretty good at taking pictures, but her raft kept floating off. She either cut our heads off or got one of just our heads.

Friday night we continued our swim party with Aaron and Sarah. This was the first time we have been able to get in their pool all summer. It wasn't warm enough on fourth of July. We grilled out and had a good time as we usually do with them.

Saturday we made a trip to Winslow to visit Maw and Papaw. Ella had fun riding her four wheeler, doing puzzles, and making pictures with Maw.

Holiday World

We made another trip to Holiday World this past Wednesday. It was a treat to go with my parents and Autumn. I think we were crazy, because it was HOT and crowded. We spent most of our time at the water park. The girls had the best time. Ella loves spending time with Autumn. It was fun for her to have someone to go down the water slides with. It was another fun, EXHAUSTING day at Holiday World.

Ella was laughing at Autumn in these pictures. Those two in the car together is so entertaining.

First up, Raging Rapids. It was about the only way to stay cool before the water park opened.

Towards the end Ella was screaming with glee the whole way down the slide.

We had to ride the little roller coaster one more time before we left.

If only the people at Holiday World knew how much grief this dolphin causes me. Two times now we have been first in line. Ella LOVES this dolphin, but there is only one. Two times the worker has let someone stay on to ride it. We were headed to the dolphin when this happened so it was not pretty when Ella could not ride it. The carousel needs more than one dolphin. It would make my life easier:)
