Wild Animal on the Loose

On Tuesday Adam mentioned taking Ella to the zoo 30 minutes before nap time. If you know me you know I would never think to do something like that. I have Ella on a pretty strict schedule (it's ok if you think I'm crazy) just for my own sanity. Hell would have to freeze over for Ella to skip taking a nap. She has a tendency to wake up at night screaming when she doesn't have a nap. It is not pleasant.  

Since Adam has been working a ton I said, "sure, let's go!" Ella was thrilled beyond belief that Adam was actually going with us and not sitting at his computer. She followed him around just to make sure that daddy was really going with us. 

We took the stroller with us, but Adam took Ella out of it 20 minutes after we got there. She was like a wild animal that had been let out of a cage. She ran almost the entire zoo. We both could not keep up with her. She had a great time, and I am happy to report she even had an hour nap when we got home;) 

The zoo has an orchid exhibit right now, and they are just gorgeous!

This picture just makes me laugh. Ella has been acting out quite a bit this past week (I blame it on Adam working crazy hours). I am interested to see if she reverts back to her sweet ways;) haha.

New Look!

As you can see my blog has a new look.  I am SO EXCITED about it!!  I put down a deposit back in Augusut, and I have been patiently impatiently  waiting ever since. It's finally done though, and I love it!! 

If anyone is interested, Fabulous K created it, and I think she did a great job!

FINALLY!

For the past week and a half I haven't been able to upload pictures or videos to blogger or facebook. Adam has been working some CRAZY hours, and when he is working (from home) I am limited to what I can do on the computer. Now that he is finished I can get back to uploading. 

Last week was a full week of activity. I think we had something planned almost every day. Wednesday we went to CMOE with my brother and Autumn. The girls had so much fun. It was interesting to see how different their interests are. Autumn was really into the rice table. In fact, I think she could have played in the rice all day. 

These two are such good friends. I never thought kids this young could love each other so much, but they do! Every time we go somewhere Ella always says, "Autumn?" She thinks Autumn should go everywhere we go. I see a bunch of sleepovers in our future! 

I take this picture of Ella every time we go. I can't believe she is almost 30 pounds. WOW! 

Ella was more into climbing at the meusem. Shocking I know! This girl loves to climb. 

On Friday we headed to Santa Claus for our play date with Bree and Mallory. Ella doesn't see Bree that often, but she always remember her. Ella calls her "Bee." Ella was also very interested in Mallory this visit. Erin was nursing Mallory at one point and had a cover over her. Ella could not figure out where Mallory went. She was walking around look for her until she noticed her feet stick out of the cover. She just stood and stared. She couldn't figure out what was going on..haha. 

I had to snap a couple shots of Mallory. She is just precious and seems like such a good baby!

Ella is saying "mammy". I don't know why she associates these with my mom, but she does everytime we look at this book!

Blog book

Way back when I started my blog I didn't really know anything about blogging. I just started it so family and friends could see what Ella was up to on a day to day basis. Slowly, I started finding other blogs to follow and read on a daily basis. These are people I will never meet, but it's nice to know there are other people out there just like me.  There is a whole blogging "world" out there. I love it! 

One day someone posted a blog about their "blog book".  There is a website that turns your blog into a book. How cool is that!? Yesterday I saw a box sitting on the front porch and in it was Ella's book.

Tuesday fun

Ella and I were supposed to meet Autumn and my brother at CMOE but come to find out, they are closed on Tuesdays! Shoot! Instead, we decided to go to the mall. Ella loves the mall, but not for the same reason I love the mall. She likes to go just to ride the little carousel outside of Old Navy. Anytime we are in Old Navy all I hear is "ride, ride, ride, ride".   Today was no exception. She started saying it as soon as we hit the doors. 

Autumn loved it just as much! 

After 3 rides we decided to go ride the big carousel. Ella has been wanting to ride the "horsey's" for weeks! She finally got to today, and she loved it! 

Since the carousel made us feel a little woozy we headed over to the play area to let the girls burn off some energy! 

Ella has really grown lately! I don't realize it in person, but I realize it when I look at pictures. My baby is growing up! 

After another ride on the carousel and some lunch we headed home for a nap!
